Located in Raub, Pahang, KF Raub Hainam Kopi Sdn Bhd was established in 1969 by the founder Chong Kon Sin. Mr Chong stuck to his principles of using pure, high-quality ingredients with the exquisite brewing skills he acquired over the years, leading to mellow, smooth and satisfying Hainanese coffee.

The founder’s eldest son, Chong Kiat Soon, inherited the business in 1997. After taking over, with attentive care and innovative ideas, their Hainam coffee was continually improved with more research and promoted actively.

KF successfully stood out and was selected as one of the 100 Best Kopitiams in Malaysia to promote the nation’s unique coffee shop trade internationally. The achievement ceremony was held at KF Raub Hainam Kopi Sdn Bhd and the certificate was presented by the then Minister of Tourism, Dato Sri Dr Ng Yen Yen.

Covid-19 came and the coffee shop faced a crisis of closure. The owners would not give the business up after decades of hard work that was poured in by their parents and themselves. They pivoted their business and decided to transform, vowing to reintroduce their coffee in a different form and capture new market opportunities.

After a long period of continuous research and development, the 3-in-1 instant authentic traditional and mellow Hainam white coffee was successfully launched. As soon as this product hit the market, it immediately set off a buying craze and became a must buy souvenir when travelling to Raub.
